HOW
WORKS
bion is a Sensory Extension System that consists of two wristbands. One is worn by a worker, the second one by a forklift drivers.
When a worker enters the forklift’s action field, both armbands vibrate, signaling imminent danger.
We have developed our hardware based on parameters such as sequence, frequency, length of the vibrotactile pulse and spatial location in the body. Thus, the wristbands can emit different messages, using different vibrations.
After a few days, the brain will be able to correctly identify the messages, without distracting the users.
